Mason High School is proud to announce that two of its students
Scholastic Art Winners
won recognition at the 2018 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards National Competition.

MHS senior Tasha Norris received a Gold Medal for her raku ceramic piece, and junior Kaavya Ramachandhran a Silver Medal for her editorial cartoon.

Norris and Ramachandhran's works were first awarded Gold Key awards at the regional judging of area student works, grades 7-12. All Gold Key winners, nationwide, are then judged again for the national awards. Artworks awarded the Gold Medal are the most outstanding works in the nation.

"These Gold Medal winners will be recognized at Carnegie Hall in New York at a special ceremony, and will also have their work displayed in New York City this summer," shared National Board Certified Art Educator at MHS Tina Roberts.
