About Jr. CYWE
The Junior Cincinnati Youth Wind Ensemble (Jr. CYWE) is comprised of outstanding young musicians who play woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Jr. CYWE is designed to be an enhancing and enriching experience for area students, and to supplement students’ experience in their own middle school bands. Jr. CYWE rehearses once a week at the University of Cincinnati: College-Conservatory of Music. The ensemble performs several concerts per year, performing challenging middle school and high school level band literature. Jr. CYWE is under the direction of Dr. James Daughters, and students also have the opportunity to work with University of Cincinnati: College-Conservatory of Music faculty and students.
