The Mason City School District is focused on analysis and alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessments that support high levels of learning and achievement.
Purpose
The committee meets monthly in a school to monitor achievement throughout the district, ensure adequate progress on district goals, and analyze our implementation of innovative instructional and programmatic options.
- Review student achievement data, instructional and innovative trends, and programs.
- Monitor the district achievement health by examining data.
- Review proposals that relate to student achievement prior to board action, including curriculum changes and implementation, new course/program changes, and innovative program options.
The Student Achievement Committee is made up of parents, community members, and employees.
