At approximately 2:55PM today, a Mason City Schools bus driver reported that the passenger in a silver Honda Civic shot a water pellet gun at the bus he was driving while on Western Row Road. There were no injuries, and the bus driver was able to safely transport the Mason Middle School students who were riding the bus home. There was no visible damage to the bus. The bus driver was able to get the license number of the car, and Mason Police are investigating.

The suspects will face criminal charges.

We are very grateful for our vigilant bus driver who was able to calmly note what had happened, and take the appropriate steps to protect his students.
